Touched up the details on the gauges.
Apr 28, 2012 09:26 Stand and clear coat.
Painted the stand black. It will get a few coats of gloss clear.
The bike and rider each got a coat of clear flat in preparation for the weathering process.
Apr 25, 2012 15:48 Highlights and details.
Added a little post shading today and painted up the tarp on the back of the bike.
Apr 21, 2012 20:27 Trooper painted
The base painting on the trooper is done. I'll need to fix up some of the black and possible rebuild the pistol and holster.
Apr 21, 2012 19:16 Painting
The trooper has been painted now. I'm going to need to give some areas another coat of black. I may need to rework the pistol and holster. As they stand now they are just lumps of plastic.
Apr 19, 2012 15:10 Looking for Blemishes
Gave the Bike a coat of brown as a base coat.
The rider was shot with a quick coat of white. I then looked for blemishes and boy did I find them. Lots more sanding and buffing ahead on this one.
Apr 08, 2012 16:56 Ready for the Paintshop
Finished off all the construction and did a few touchups on the Storm Trooper to get him to sit right.
The only thing left to do is to improve the Stand. I will use my ususal brass/styrene rod and replace the vertical piece in this case.
I'm going to go with the classic Brown/Black bike with white trooper.
Mar 31, 2012 22:41 Construction.
The build is moving along nicely. It's fairly simple but looks awesome.
No changes from the building instructions today. I rotated the left control back as far as I could so the trooper will be more verticle.
Mar 30, 2012 16:02 Storm Trooper construction
I started on this kit today. Overall it looks like a pretty simple kit and it should go together fairly easy. I think that I will add some extra details though as its kind of sparse and I think there should be some more cables/hoses.
